Extremely robust solid-plastic body with magnesium cover and metal lid. According to the HP, the 8540w has passed several MIL-SPEC 810F (Military Standards) resistance tests, including those for extreme temperatures, shocks and vibrations.
The EliteBook 8540W is powered by a 4-core Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB DDR3 RAM, external graphics adapter nVidia Quadro FX880M and 500GB of files and applications. The display is 15.6 inches matt coating and "anti-glare" technology, with excellent brightness and wide viewing angle.
