Dell workstations

In 2017, technology giant Dell celebrated the 20th anniversary of their workstations. A period during which the company continued surprising their corporate and private customers with innovations that continue to this day.

Purpose

Dell workstations are similar to laptops and desktops, but with significantly increased performance and many more features. This applies to the models from the Precision series. They are designed for complex and long computations, and can endure the heaviest workload. They are suitable for working with 3D graphics, design, computer modelling and other tasks.

Configurations and design

Configurations may vary according to the purpose. The workstations are furnished with top-class powerful multi-core processors - Intel i7, Xeon, and high-performance graphics adapters - NVIDIA's Quadro series and AMD's FirePro. Unlike conventional laptops, Dell’s mobile devices have up to 4 RAM slots. As for the desktops - they have an average of 8 RAM slots. There are also a number of options for data storage - standard 2.5-inch and respectively 3.5-inch hard drives, SSD NVMe and M.2.

Dell’s desktop workstations have a wide and spacious body, allowing for a variety of extensions and additional memory. There are also SFF formats that can stand horizontally and thus save you workspace.

As regards Dell’s mobile workstations – they have massive bodies, made of magnesium alloys and with strong metal hinges, providing stability. The displays’ sizes are 15 and 17 inches.
