In today's blog article, we will look at the Pro models of the iPhone between 12 and 15. We focused on them, as these are some of the most interesting and desired phones in our stores. We will compare several main features of the Pro and Pro Max models, such as design, display, camera, battery and Apple's innovations in the different models.
We will focus on the models from 12 to 15, since the iPhone 11 Pro is already out of support and is not of much interest to users. Currently, the iPhone 12, 13 and 14 Pro are the most versatile and most affordable models. With the iPhone 15 Pro, the price has already jumped significantly and the phone is not within everyone's budget.
1. Design
There is not much difference between the three phones listed. They have the same displays and are similar in weight. The big difference comes with the iPhone 15 and the innovation with the titanium case, which makes the phone lighter. From a design point of view, there is also not much difference between the individual models. All have a "bezel" design, with slightly rounded edges already visible on the 15 and 16.
2. Display
The 12 and 13 displays can be distinguished from the 14 and subsequent Pro models. The newer models introduce the much-discussed Dynamic Island. The Always On display also appears on the 14 and 15.
Another thing that is noticeable about the iPhone 15 Pro compared to its predecessors is that the display is similar in size to the others, but the frame is much smaller. We can also distinguish this as a trend at Apple in recent years. A distinctive feature of the Pro models is that their displays are 120-hertz. While the pure models and mini variants are 60-hertz. The displays are also quite bright and are great to see in direct sunlight.
3. Camera and memory
All Pro models of iPhone between 12 and 14 have 6GB RAM and 128GB of starting memory. In the 15, they are now 8GB RAM and 256GB of base memory.
The cameras of the iPhone Pro models can also be divided into two groups. In the 12 and 13 they are 12MP, while in the 14 and 15 there is a drastic jump to 48MP. The iPhone 15 Pro can even boast of 5x Zoom. There is a noticeable difference in the improvement of the cameras in the newer models in the video.
4. Battery and innovations
One of the most significant introductions comes with the iPhone 15 Pro. There Apple made a "u-turn" with the use of their port and switched to using the universal Type-C charger. In the batteries of the different models, roughly speaking, there is an increase of 6 hours of endurance when the models increase from 12 to 15. For example, Apple guarantees that the battery of the iPhone 12 Pro lasts at least 17 hours, while in the 15 Pro they are already 23. Of course, everything depends on the load with which the phone is used.
Another novelty in the iPhone 15 Pro, which is worth noting, is the introduction of the Action button. Judging by user opinions, this also receives contradictory comments. The role of the Action button is to replace the Silence button. Many more functionalities have also been added, such as pressing twice quickly, pressing three times quickly, changing and launching different applications and tasks.
In terms of price, the difference between the 12 and 15 Pro is not small at all, but that is why they are suitable for different types of people. Those who want an Apple phone that has a good camera, a good display and a good battery, get both more budget options (like the 12 and 13 Pro) and the latest offerings on the market (like the 14 and 15 Pro).
