How to hide my phone number on Android and iPhone

How to Make a Call Without Showing Your Number
If you want to make a call without the person on the other end seeing your number, but don't know how to do this, then this blog post is for you! Today we'll show you the easiest ways to hide your phone number, whether you're using an iPhone or Android.
1. Hiding Your Number on iPhone
If you use an iPhone, you can easily make your number hidden when calling. Here's how to do it in a few steps.
First, you need to open 'Settings'. Then you need to scroll down and select 'Phone'. From the next menu, choose 'Show My Caller ID'. You need to turn off this option by switching it off and making the white button light up.
When this option is turned off, recipients won't see your number. Instead, their phone will display "Hidden Number," "Unknown," or "Private Number."
2. Hiding Your Number on Android
On Android devices, the procedure may vary slightly depending on the model and version of the operating system. Usually, however, you should follow these steps.
Initially, open the 'Phone' app, from where you dial the number. Then press the three dots in the top right or go directly to 'Settings'. After selecting "Settings," go to 'Calls'. On some versions and models of Android, this menu is called "Call Settings" or "Additional Settings."
The next step is to go to 'Caller ID'. There's a possibility this field is also called "Show my number." You should select 'Hide number'. Once you do this, every time you call, your number will be hidden automatically.
3. Quick Method - With a Code Before the Number
There's also another quick way to hide your number. This would be necessary if you don't want to change settings, but just make a single call with a hidden number. In this case, you can use a universal code.
To do this, simply enter #31# and add the phone number you're calling (example - #31#0888123456). Replacing "0888123456" with the desired number will make this specific call with a hidden number. As mentioned, the big advantage here is that this method doesn't permanently change your phone's settings.
And finally something important - if the option to hide the number is gray, inactive, or doesn't work, it's possible that your mobile operator doesn't support it automatically. In that case, you need to contact your mobile operator (A1, Yettel, Vivacom, etc.) to activate the number hiding service.
Hiding your number can be useful when you want to maintain your privacy. Just don't forget - always use this feature responsibly!
