Какъв iPad да изберем - част 2

Today we continue the topic from one of our previous blog posts. We will pay attention to the slightly less familiar product of Apple compared to the iPhone – the iPad. We will look at the models that we missed last time, their pros and cons and which groups of people they are suitable for.
1. iPad Air
The iPad Air can be defined as the natural successor to the iPad 9. As we already mentioned in the previous article, the standard models stop production with the 9 and accordingly we move on to the three main Mini, Air and Pro.
Purely visually, the iPad Air looks a lot like the iPad 9. From a user point of view, it is important to mention the range of disk space that the iPad Air has. There are models with both 64GB of memory and 128 and 256GB. Another important component of the technical characteristics of this model is the display. The iPad Air has a 60-hertz display. In addition to being large in size, the displays of this model (as well as the standard models) have a refresh rate. This is one of the differences between these types and the Pro models.
Another distinguishing feature of the iPad Air is that it is lighter in hardware and works much smoother than the standard Apple tablet models. The Air retains the front and rear cameras, which are characteristic of both the standard models and the iPad Mini. In the Pro versions, the cameras are now increased by one more - two rear and one front. In the earlier iPad Air and iPad Mini models, Touch ID has been moved from a round button to the Power button.
2. iPad Pro
The Pro models can be defined as the top league of iPads. The iPad Pro is quite different from the more budget Apple tablet models. In terms of design, differences can be seen compared to the previous models we reviewed - the Pro versions have a "more angular" design and are distinguished by the "island" in which the cameras are placed.
The Pro models can be divided into two groups – a small 11-inch model and a large one, which is 12.9 inches in size. Technically, both models offer similar characteristics. In terms of performance, the 12.9-inch model is quite close to the MacBook Air. Therefore, users often hesitate whether to get a MacBook Air with an M1 chip or to buy an iPad Pro 12.9 with an M1 chip, because they are quite close in price. Usually, the decision comes when considering what the equipment in question will be used for. For example, it is not very reasonable to spend a lot of money on a top-of-the-line tablet, which will then be used by children for browsing. The advantage of the iPad Pro over the MacBook is that it has a touchscreen and is quite convenient, for example, for people who are professionally involved in drawing and graphic design.
Another important thing that distinguishes the Pro models from the MacBook is the camera. The iPad Pro has two rear cameras – White and Ultra White, as well as the spatial Lidar sensor, which is also widely used for graphic and interior design. The Pro model is also quite good for gaming.
3. Why did Apple put Type-C?
An important fact to mention is that these tablets switched to Type-C chargers in earlier years. However, there is a difference in Type-C between the different models – iPad Pro has Type-C 3.0, while the other models have Type-C 2.0. The difference is that with Type-C 3.0, data transfer is faster than with 2.0.
In conclusion, we can say that the tablet itself is a combination of a laptop and a phone in one. Like Apple laptops and phones, there are different versions of iPads for different uses – iPad 7, 8, 9 and Air are the most common affordable models, iPad Mini is the most compact one, while the iPad Pro versions have all the technical innovations, but they are also not within everyone's budget.
